對於Virchow這個字眼，我想是醫學生的人應該都不陌生。譬如Virchow's Triad 或是Virchow's node 。

日前，收到一位素未謀面的朋友寄來的一本書—愛無國界(Mountains Beyond Mountains) ，介紹Paul Farmer 醫師(也是人類學家)在海地這個國家所做過的努力。其中，足以堪稱他的心靈導師的就是，已去世一個世紀的德國病理學家費爾克(Rudolf Virchow) —是醫師，也是考古學家和政治人物。
看到Virchow這個字眼，就忍不住到Wikipedia 搜尋一下，才發現原來以前真的有被過這個字，但是卻從來不認識這位傑出的德國醫師。
看來……我們的醫學人文還要加強囉！哈哈~~
