In 2020, I set up my another temporary blog using Google Blogger as I planed to leave my old self-established WordPress platform.
However, Blogger’s export process now primarily routes through Google Takeout (resulting in a ZIP file), instead of exporting the posts into one XML file. In WordPress the instruction still tell you to extract a compatible XML file from Blogger to import into WordPress.com. This workaround is commonly suggested by bloggers and tech enthusiasts as a solution, since WordPress.com’s Blogger importer expects an XML file.
After extracting all files from ZIP file, there is a feed.atom file in the folder of ~Takeout > Blogger > Blogs > [Your Blog Name]. I tried to rename feed.atom into feed.xml and imported this xml file in to WordPress. Unfortunately, it failed.
I tried to ask Grok and ChatGPT, there were no anything new or workable. Finally, I asked WordPress.com IT team to figure out this challenge. Keep tune!
This is still an unsolved challenge. If you know how to tackle this, please share with me,.
