Looking back, we have experienced a lot in 2025. Alice accidentally injured the left ACL in August. Our family still had a wonderful road trip to Orlando, FL. We then finished our Disney and Universal visits across Japan, California, and Florida, UA.
By the end of 2025, Alice and I also finished the surgeries for our ACLs, with the same surgeon and PT. We are literally like father, like daughter, suffering from ACL.
I worked diligently to change my role. I finally ended my first role in the industry, Real-World Evidence. In March, I moved on as a drug safety physician in the same company. I felt a lot of reward in my second career, which was built from scratch in the US by me and family.
Jolie and I often feel deeply lucky to have shared so much together. Moving to the US, we are on the frontier edge of AI and are experiencing the transformation of the US. In my middle age, I am fighting with my family together for our new journey as immigrants. Jolie and I are also watching our two girls integrate and immerse themselves well in the new society. I’ve also flipped my views on government benefits and truly understand the differences between BIG and SMALL government.
We look forward to 2026 and hearing back about Emily’s application in the spring. I believe it would be the next phase of our family story in the US.
